And we've got reading challenges and activities year round to encourage the youngest members of your family to discover the joys and benefits of reading.

Summer Library Adventure Bookmark Art
Students in K through 12th grade are invited to get ready for summer reading by making a bookmark! Our theme this year is Plant a Seed, Read.
Stop by your local Napa County Library location to pick up an entry form and turn in your artwork by April 11.
Selected artists will have their bookmarks produced for Summer Library Adventure!
In-N-Out Burger Reading Challenge
Who wants a burger?
Kids ages 4 to 12 can earn a cheeseburger, grilled cheese, or veggie sandwich by completing their reading log! Sign up at the library and pick up a reading log starting March 10.
Children must be present to redeem their prize. The last day to redeem the prize is April 18, 2026.

Fall Into Reading
From September 22 to November 28, kids, teens, and adults can track their reading (or listening) for a reward!
To complete the challenge, read or listen to 10 books.
Teens and Adults (Ages 11+)
- Track your reading online
- Show your completion badge to staff for an award!
Kids (Ages 3 to 11)
- Track reading online or pick up a paper log at the library
- Show completion badge to receive a book
- Bonus activity! Come to the library for a pollinator scavenger hunt and riddle activity.
