How to Navigate the New Website

Welcome to Our New Website!

Explore what’s new and learn how to get the most out of the site.

We’re excited to introduce a new, streamlined website designed to make finding library services, browsing the catalog, and exploring everything the library offers easier. This page will give you an overview of how to make most of the features.

Set Up Your Account

The first time you access the website, you will need to register your account. To do this, you need your library card and your current PIN.

You can watch the video or follow the step-by-step written instructions below.

Steps:

  1. Click “Log In/My Account” in the top right of the screen
  2. Select the “Log In/Register” button
  3. Enter your library card number
  4. Enter your current PIN
  5. Once you are logged in, if this is your first log-in, you will be prompted to set up your account
  6. Verify your name, email address, and month and year of birth
  7. Click “Continue”
  8. Create a unique username which you can use instead of your library card number to log in
  9. Review and accept the terms and conditions
  10. Select “Complete Account Setup”
  11. Select “Continue to My Account”
  12. Select your username in the top right. This will open a menu where you can view your checked-out times, holds, and much more.

Search the Catalog and Place Holds

The new website has a new, easy-to-use interface. All available formats (audiobooks, ebooks, large print and more) are clearly visible. You can place holds or save in a list for later.

Search the catalog:

  1. You can search the catalog without logging in, but if you are logged in, you will be able to use features such as borrowing items or placing holds.
  2. Go to the search bar at the top of the page and use the drop-down menu to search by keyword, author, title, subject, and more.
  3. Enter your search.
  4. In the search results, you can narrow your results using the menu on the left.
  5. On the item, click “view location availability” to see which branch has the item on the shelves.
  6. You can place a hold.
  7. At the top right of the search results, you can also save your search for future use.

Place holds:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Using the search bar, find the item you would like to place on hold.
  3. Select the format you would like and click the green “place hold” button
  4. Choose your pick-up location from the drop-down menu and click the blue “place hold” button.
  5. A green banner will appear confirming your hold and showing your place in line.
  6. To view or manage your holds, click your username in the top right and select “On hold” from the menu.
  7. On this page, you will see each item you have on hold, it’s status, your place in line, and the pick-up location.
  8. You can pause, cancel, or change your pick-up location.

Use Shelves and Lists

Organize your reading with shelves and lists. Shelves can be used to track what you’re reading now, what you’ve read in the past, or what you plan to read next. With lists, you can build recommendations or collections around a theme.

Rate and Review Books

When you are logged into your account, you can give books star ratings and leave reviews, too!
