Peep This!

Spring has hatched, and that means it’s time for one of our most beloved traditions—the Annual Peeps Diorama Contest at the Napa Library! This all-ages event invites the community to get creative with everyone’s favorite marshmallow chicks and bunnies.

Participants are challenged to create a diorama inspired by a literary scene, character, or story, using Peeps as the stars of the show. Whether your idea comes from a classic novel, a beloved children’s book, or a movie based on a literary work, we can’t wait to see how you bring it to life. Your diorama can be serious, silly, or egg-stra punny.

(Bonus points for clever titles—we love a good play on words!)

How to Participate

Pick up contest guidelines beginning February 21 at the Reference Desk or on Napa Library social media.

Bonus! The first 15 “peeple” to request the rules at the Reference Desk will receive a free pack of Peeps while supplies last.

Important Dates

  • Submissions Accepted: March 21-27
  • Dioramas on Display: March 28-April 4
  • Winners Notified: By Tuesday, April 15

All entries will be on display at the Napa Library, where patrons can peep the competition and vote for their favorites.

Whether you’re crafting solo, with friends, or as a family project, the Peeps Diorama Contest is a sweet way to celebrate creativity, literature, and springtime fun. We hope you’ll join us—because great books (and Peeps) deserve to be shared!
